Lars Silberbauer

Lars is one of the best thought-leaders for all things digital and social across some of the world’s best-known brands including the Olympics, LEGO and MTV. At HMD Global, he is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and execution for the entire portfolio of Nokia phones, tablets and services and reports to Jean-Francois Baril, Chief Executive Officer.

Lars has a track record of successfully leading traditional companies through rapid digital transformations and is known for building powerhouse digital teams by empowering employees to build their competencies and take action. Spanning his career, Lars has led large organisations in spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.

Prior to his appointment at HMD Global as Chief Marketing Officer, Lars was leading the Brand, Marketing and Digital teams at the Olympics (IOC). Lars was also a former SVP of MTV Digital Studios where he focused on growing MTV’s momentum through digital and social channels to increase engagement.

Lars worked at LEGO as a Global Senior Director where he revolutionised the company’s digital footprint, transforming a brand that had no social media presence into one of the world’s most impactful digital leaders.

Lars is a frequent speaker at global forums, conferences, and events where he shares his expertise on digital transformations, social media, content marketing, and the future of media.
