To support us in this initiative we have joined hands with Reteck Envirotech Private Limited, a CPCB authorised Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) (Reteck) to fulfil our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance and continue our endeavours to create a better tomorrow for the future generations. What is "E-Waste"?
As per the E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016, 'E-waste' means electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumer or bulk consumer as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes.
Electronics such as mobile phones, TVs, laptops, printers, fax machines or even their parts, which have reached the end of their useful life are called “E-Waste”. If not recycled in an environmentally sound way, e-waste poses a risk to us and the environment
How can you recycle your e-waste?
If you are an HMD Customer and wish to be a part of our E-Waste Program, we can arrange to pick up the e-waste related to mobile phones such as mobile phones, power banks, chargers, headphones, speakers from your door step. Awareness Programs.
HMD along with Reteck runs e-CAP which is an awareness program on E-waste collection and its recycling. The program emphasizes on creating awareness amongst people and all the stakeholders who in one way or the other deal with e-waste. We have been running this program successfully for educational institutions, bulk consumers, government agencies etc. with more emphasis given to schools.
Collection Centres
Reteck Envirotech Private Limited is setting-up collection centres across India to enable the collection, storage and movement of the e-waste from across the country. These collection centres enable collection from formalized waste collectors and aggregators, bulk consumers, and multiple other collection channels.
